FoodLantrophy is a new charity initiative by Food Bank Singapore, which aims to collect emergency food packets for the needy.

Food Bank Singapore has just introduced FoodLantrophy, a new program which aims to collect food packets for disadvantaged groups.

The first FoodLantrophy event will take place at Sarang on October 18 (11am-4pm). For every Korean Bento set ($40) purchased at the restaurant, 25 meal packets will be donated to the Stop Hunger Now program. The aim is to sell 1,200 Korean bentos, to raise 30,000 meal packets for the needy.

Each meal packet can feed six people and contains rice, soy and vegetables, with 21 vitamins and minerals. The packs will be distributed to crisis-ridden areas and schools worldwide. If you’d like to pre-order a bento, you can do so at the Food Bank website.
