How would you like to pay B5,000 for dinner cooked by a food stylist?

Slow-life craft-fanatics are in luck. The super-popular lifestyle magazine Kinfolk, known for its clean and minimalist design, is bringing its Kinfolk Gathering dining series to Bangkok courtesy of local company FACT Collective.

Taking place this Jul 11, the Kinfolk Gathering is the main attraction of a two-day series of events (Jul 11-12) aiming to gather like-minded creatives from different professions to meet and "generate conversations."

Priced at US$150 (B5,068) per person, the participatory five-course dinner will be created by one of FACT Collective's co-founders, Lai "Gai" Mitwichan, a Chiang Mai-based food consultant working for Rimping Supermarket. Gai is also a former food stylist and writer, as well as a graduate from both Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, and the University of Gastronomic Sciences, Italy.

The dinner will also include live music, art installations, an open discussion on slowness and a casual networking session over drinks following the meal. For this, you'll have to hurry as the tickets (limited to only 60 people) are almost sold out.

The FACT Gathering on Jul 12 (B1,000/person) is more focused on workshops. The lineup includes a coffee tasting workshop by Lee Ayu of Akha Ama, organic indigo screen printing by Prach Niyomkar, tea workshop by Tichaa and beer talk and tasting by Goldencoins Craft Beer.  There will also be art installation and open discussion, but with organic choices of food and beverage instead of a dinner.
