Singapore certainly has a vibrant drinking culture, from bespoke cocktail bars to neighborhood pubs and full-on drinking celebrations. Here's the latest in tippling news.

Harry's just celebrated their flagship outlet at Boat Quay with a sleek new look and modern touches. Expect more of the same comforting dishes and easy drinks, just in a swankier space. Oh, they've also got a pretty legit live band to jazz up the night.

The boys (and girl) of Mixes from Mars have finally opened their much-awaited bar at the RedDot Traffic Building on Maxwell Road. Hopscotch celebrates everything local—from zi char inspired drinks to childhood games and snacks. The minimalist bar has lots of wooden touches and a long bartop to interact with the chatty bartenders, Kino and Joel. There's bad news though, they'll be vacating the premises by October next year.

Capella hotel's semi-alfresco Cuban-inspired bar not only has pretty awesome views of the sea but some killer happy hour deals. Bob's Bar recently introduced Cuban Fever, featuring flights of rums that change bi-weekly. If rum's not your thing, they've also got a bunch of other cocktails and for every two, you get a third one free. Come Nov 7, the bar also introduces Havana Nights with an all-out Cuban barbecue with plates of skewered chicken, beef, lamb and pork jowl.

If spirits aren't your thing, Cocotte will also host a five-course wine dinner on Oct 9 featuring coastal South African bottles. On the menu are dishes like homemade boerewars-style sausage with puy lentils and roasted shallots, and grilled Cape Grim grassfed flat iron steak with green peppercorn sauce, garlic confit and a brown-buttered salsify.
