Ku De Ta, the Bangkok spin-off of Singapore’s high-end nightclub and restaurant, will be offering one million baht memberships, according to a leaflet for the membership BK Magazine saw pictures of.
Titled “Noir,” the membership’s full value is actually stored as credit to be spent on Ku De Ta’s 39th and 40th levels. It comes with free entrance for eight guests, four bottles of premium spirits, four more bottles on your birthday, an extra B50,000 credit and other perks. The membership does not expire and is transferable for 1% of prevailing membership fees (currently, that would come out to be B10,000).
The membership brochure we saw did also shed some light on the possible fate of the heritage building between W Hotel and Sathorn Square. It refers to “priority table booking on 39th and 40th levels, as well as The Mansion by Ku De Ta.” This seems to indicate that despite some initial uncertainty as to whether W or Ku De Ta would manage the colonial-style house, Ku De Ta will most probably have a restaurant there, called The Mansion by Ku De Ta.
Ku De Ta is actually several clubs, restaurants and private rooms occupying the top two floors of Sathorn Square. It is now set to open in August but the opening has been delayed for several months already. Although Ku De Ta has yet to set the Bangkok venue’s cover charge, its big sister in Singapore, which sits atop the Marina Bay Sands complex, has no cover charge on weekdays and charges S$38 on Fri-Sat nights (about B930).
Ku De Ta's club & bar operations director, Justin Dunne, commented: ""True, we are offering memberships at price points that will be considered luxurious by Thai standards, but at the same time, we are offering a multitude of experiences that will be available to everyone, including several restaurants and bars.”
