Chef of France's only Michelin-starred Thai restaurant headed to Saawaan
This nine-course dinner will be one to remember.
This Aug 18-19, chef Chatchai Klangklong of L'Orchidée—France's only Michelin-starred Thai restaurant—will be joining Saawaan's chef Aom and chef Paper for a six-hands dinner.
Priced at B4,950 inclusive of wine or tea pairing, the nine-course menu will incorporate seasonal ingredients and modern Thai cuisine inspired by chef Chatchai’s upbringing in Petchabun. At l’Orchidée, he marries his training in fine dining establishments with seasonal French produce and the distinct flavors of Thailand.
Saawaan is known for its creative reinventions of Thai dishes—fermented beef salads, crab fat dips, grilled pork neck and spicy-sour soups—served as delicate tasting portions that compete with the top tier of Bangkok dining. It gained a spot in Top Tables 2019 (no.14) and a Michelin star within its first year of opening.
