The two hong-kong born chefs at Summer Palace at InterContinental Bangkok have ramped things up for 2025.

Who hasn’t gone for a worktime all-you-can-eat dim sum feast with their colleagues to celebrate a birthday or with friends to blow off some steam after work? It’s one of those quintessential dining experiences that you are going to have at one point or another in this city.

One of the best value-for-money offerings that’s out there right now has to be what Summer Palace at InterContinental Bangkok is doing right now. Priced at B1,150/person, the menu boasts all of the classic dim sum favorites you’ve come to expect — dumplings, vegetables, seafood, and the like — alongside a bevy of Cantonese appetizers, soups, main courses, and desserts. Better yet, if you are an IHG One Rewards member, you get an extra 20 percent discount.

The restaurant’s tagline is “From the streets of Hong Kong to the heart of Bangkok – Cantonese Done Right” and it’s easy to see why. It’s crafted by two of the hotel’s Hong Kong-born culinary minds, executive Chinese chef Shui Wing Yau and dim sum chef Pui Kwan Chan. It’s all about traditional preparation methods here, including steaming, baking, stir-frying, and deep-frying. Some of the highlights include the Ha Gao prawn dumplings (the translucent shell-shaped dumplings that’s a must with every dim sum order), black truffle dumplings with vegetables and mushrooms, and king crab meat and avocado spring rolls. There are also some other dessert favorites that are essential ordering, including the wok-fried turnip cake with XO sauce and baked fresh milk and egg white tart.

Beyond dim sum, the menu offers a selection of Cantonese dishes to round out the experience with some more variety. Appetizers include the beloved barbecued pork ribs with honey sauce and jellyfish with chili and cucumber (one of our own staff orders these every time we eat dim sum anywhere) while the soup choices feature a hot and sour Sichuan broth with shrimp. For mains, you will find the likes of chicken fried rice with salted fish and wok-fried egg noodle with roasted duck and XO sauce. Desserts range from black sesame dumpling with ginger tea to chilled sago with pomelo.

The all-you-can-eat dim sum experience at Summer Palace runs from 11:30am-2:30pm and 6-10:30pm every day.
