Singapore's newest French restaurant La Cantine is the brainchild of Michelin-starred chef Bruno Ménard.

A brand new French restaurant by three-Michelin-starred chef Bruno Ménard (who also recently launched casual burger joint &MADE), La Cantine, has just opened at Asia Square.

It's a tad more upscale than its sister establishment and serves up French fare such as homemade chicken liver terrine with pickled mushrooms ($14) and onion soup with truffle-scented chantilly ($21) for starters. Heartier options including mains like caramelized pork belly with roasted garlic ($32), and desserts such as caramel hot lava cake ($15) make an appearance.

We've been told to expect a more extensive menu after the spot officially opens in mid-September, so be sure to stay tuned.

In the meantime, they've got a mean happy hour from 5-7pm (tipples go from $10) and offer set lunches from $39.
