We just got back from a very pleasant lunch indeed at Living Room on Sukhumvit Soi 20. Yes, this is the space that was previously  The Bridge, that all-glass and black metal box next to KOI. It's still managed by them, but is now a pan-Mediterranean place withFrench chef Eric Berrigaud at the helm.

Aiming to attract a lunch crowd as well, they have several set menu options, including one that does appetizer, main course, dessert and coffee/tea, all for B450++--not too shabby, so we went for one of those. Each dish we tried today had a factor that impressed.  The in-house bread had a crackling crust that's rare in Bangkok; the Greek salad was very generous with the feta cheese and had a perfectly balanced dressing; the skewered scallops were cooked just right and were velvety in the mouth, the fruit salad at the end had a light, just-right syrup infused with cinnamon. And our cappucino was so foamy, it could've been an egg white. Nice.

We'll be curious to see how things shape up here once they go into full launch mode, with full-on barbeque options in addition to the lunch sets and the a la carte dishes.
