Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 51-100 kicked off yesterday, including six picks from Bangkok.

Topping the list this year at No.51 was Joo Ok out of Seoul and followed by Bukhara in New Delhi and Ta Vie in Hong Kong. Of the six Bangkok restaurants that made it on the list this year, two were new entries.

The top Bangkok pick was new entry Cote by Mauro Colagreco at No.71—the No.1 pick at BK’s Top Tables 2022—and the eponymous chef will be in town next week for two nights. Cote was followed by another new entry, Wana Yook at No.72.

Lerdtip Wanghin in Ladprao took No. 73, followed by Indian restaurant Gaa at No.81 and Samrub Samrub Thai at No.82. The traditional Thai spot Nahm came in at No.98.

Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 1-50 will launch on Mar 28 for its 10th anniversary and its first live, in-person awards ceremony since the start of the Covid pandemic in 2019, and foodie fans can expect to find a few Bangkok winners on that list as well.
