This organic food festival unites fresh produce and world-class chefs
Led by David Thompson, Malcolm Lee of Singapore's Candlenut and more, the gala dinners are not to be missed.
137 Pillars’ Organic Gourmet Festival hits Bangkok this Feb 27-Mar 1 and Mar 5-8 with markets, activities, dinners and parties.
A farmers’ market (4-10pm each day) will allow visitors to shop organic produce from the Royal Project Foundation, Arno’s, Le Cordon Bleu and more, while participating in healthy cooking demonstrations and wellness activities. Meanwhile, a series of gala dinners will be led by top local and international chefs, including David Thompson (founder of Nahm; Feb 28), Thaninthorn Chatrawan of Chim by Siam Wisdom (Feb 29), Malcolm Lee of Singapore’s Michelin-starred Peranakan restaurant, Candlenut (Mar 6), and Masafumi Hamano of two-Michelin-starred, French-Japanese Au 14 Février in Saint-Amour-Bellevue, France (Mar 7). All dinners are priced from B6,000-7,000 per person—you can find the menus here.
The dinners will be followed by after parties led by top mixologists like Mel Chavez of Tippling Club, Singapore (Feb 28), Teens of Thailand’s Niks Anuman (Feb 29), Kris Du of Shanghai’s Speak Low (Mar 6) and Pongpak Sudthipongse of Sorrento in Bangkok (Mar 7). Part of the proceeds will go to support the Autistic Thai Foundation.
