Mon, Apr 6

• Star-studded foodie festival World Gourmet Summit starts today with lots of dinners, guest chefs, masterclasses and even wine tasting workshops.
• If you act fast, you can still snag the last few seats at Russell Peters' Almost Famous comedy show where the Canadian funnyman will perform a string of new jokes and old favorites.
• The Grand Collapse at The Substation plays host to five bands including local acts like Rangka but also international acts like Italy's Hierophant. 

Tue, Apr 7

• American post-hardcore rock band Being As An Ocean drops by Singapore to perform their Billboard charting album Dear G-d alongside local act, Exhibitors.
• Carnivores take note. This one-night only dinner Eat the Cow has beef prepped in every way imaginable, from steak tartare and short ribs to wagyu beef cheeks and smoked beef tongue.

Wed, Apr 8

• The Italian Film Festival starts today and there will be films both old and new from the 71st Venice Film Festival like Leopardi and China is Near.
• Gorge on tacos at Super Loco's Taco Challenge where you'll need to eat 10 tacos and down two tequila shots as fast as you can to be crowned winner. That will get dining vouchers and a spot at the finals at Lucha Locho. 

Thu, Apr 9

• Hotel Jen's new comedy night Instant Comedy sees Scottish funnyman Scott Mitchell on stage alongside German DJ Ryan. 
• Wild Rice's latest production Public Enemy opens today and stars veteran local actors like Ivan Heng and Lim Kay Siu. It tells the story of a man whose town turns against him when he reports that the water supply is contaminated. 
• It's a week full of theatrical dinners. Kicking things off is Faulty Towers The Dining Experience that's based on the '70s British sitcom Fawlty Towers.

Fri, Apr 10

• Cocktail bar Manhattan celebrates its first anniversary with a double bill of bartenders: Alex Kratena from London's Artesian bar and George Nemec, brand ambassador of Becherovka, both of whom will shake up their signature drinks.
• The New Opera singers perform songs from Kurt Weill's A Knife in the Dark, a story about murder, lust and greed in society's underworld.
• Yet another theatrical dinner to attend is nightlife gurus, Massive Collective's Dastardly Dinners: The Ringmaster's Ball. It will see you interacting with wacky circus characters over a three-course dinner.

Sat, Apr 11

• UK producer Ikonika meshes funk, garage, dirty bass and dub into her signature style in songs like "Beach Mode" and "I Make Lists".
• The Local People team up with NTUC PME for another art market with handmade products by Bleak x U.top and Citystate Haberdashery, as well as live music by Amanda Tee and pop-blue band The Mad Hatter Project. 
• Samsung Fashion Steps Out hosts the annual Orchard Road outdoor fashion show where a section of the main road will be closed down for a parade of lust-worthy clothes. 

Sun, Apr 12

• If Tanjong Beach Club's Full Steam Ahead seems too much to handle, then go to Smack My Beach Up instead. Belgian DJ Kolombo spins hosue and disco beats at this FSA pre-party.
• Local artist Ian Woo shows his most recent body of abstract paintings that feature heavy brush strokes in Falling Off Plastic Chairs.
