He may or may not record with his old buddies ever again, but he'll be here with his new band The Voidz.

Indie rock band The Strokes' lead singer Julian Casablancas is coming to Singapore.

The scruffy-looking lead singer's experimental rock side project Julian Casablancas+The Voidz debuts their studio album Tyranny with tracks like "Human Sadness" and "Where No Eagles Fly". The seven-man band, which includes guitarist Jeramy "Beardo" Gritter and Jacob "Jake" Bercovici on bass and synth, will be performing for the first time ever in Singapore on Jan 10.

They'll be covering a bunch of tracks from their album, as well as a selection of The Strokes' hits and Julian Casablancas' solo repertoire. Tickets go on sale Nov 24 on Sistic.

We know it's not as exciting as The Strokes themselves, but we're willing to bet they'll do some old goldies.
