Whether Advertisementyou like traditional lotus seed paste mooncakes, or snow skin versions with creative modern flavors, this Marina Bay Sands dessert spot has got you covered.

[SPONSORED] Mid-Autumn festival is around the corner, which means time to sample hundreds of mooncake flavors before sending them to friends, family and business partners. They all just start to blend together into a mooncake haze after a while, so we keep an eye out for creative, modern variations. This year, SweetSpot, the dessert shop at the Marina Bay Sands, has got some interesting and delicious flavors for their snow skin versions.

First, there's the salted caramel almond crunch flavor. It's got some nice texture variation going on, with the traditional creaminess punched up with the crunch of almond. There's also a slightly boozy one, with dark chocolate, orange and Grand Marnier. We're excited to see the classic orange and chocolate combo brought to mooncakes, and this little number has the added bittersweetness of orange liqueur. Our favorite, however, is the Eco Jade snow skin mooncake: it's got pandan, regionally harvested Javanese chocolate, caramelized cashews and banana. This locally-inspired mooncake is a combination of all our favorite childhood desserts rolled into one. The pandan gives it an unmistakably rich, floral-piney character, while the caramelized cashews and bananas make it nice and sweet. Traditionalists should go for the double yolk white lotus seed paste variety.

For gift-giving flair, they come packaged in a lantern-shaped vertical box containing eight snow skin mooncakes ($58). Choose a combination of two flavors, which gets you four pieces per flavor, or mix and match them individually. Plus, if you buy 50-100 boxes for your entire contact list, it's 20% off your purchase.
