Global movement Yellow Lounge, which takes classical music out of concert halls and into edgier spaces, debuts at Zouk on October 18 with accordionist Martynas.

Classical Lithuanian accordionist Martynas is set to play at (of all places) Singapore superclub Zouk on October 18, 7pm as worldwide concert series Yellow Lounge comes to our shores.

A unique part of European club culture, the original Yellow Lounge began in Berlin years ago and has gone on to places like New York and London.

The concert series puts musicians in edgy settings such as clubs and urban spaces, taking them out of the usual stuffy classical music context and resulting in an experimental, intimate way of experiencing music.

Headlining the Singapore show is Lithuanian accordionist Martynas, who won Lithuania's Got Talent in 2010 and recently released a debut self-titled album.
