A new addition to the Ari neighborhood, Oji (111/1 Paholyothin Soi 7, 080-209-0323) doesn’t share the vibe typical of many Japanese sushi bars thanks to its striking black and white décor, complete with modern furnishings and photos lining the white brick feature walls. The menu is also far from traditional, with fusion dishes like spicy tuna salad (B179), tuna tataki (179) and OMG Roll (shrimp rolls topped with strawberry, B279). It makes for a decent starting point before venturing over to the new pub Ari, just across the way.
