One of the first restaurants in KL to offer up tapas style dishes, Sentidos Tapas in Starhill Gallery has looked to push the city’s culinary boundaries once again with a new gastrobar concept and an exciting new menu boasting molecular and modernist inspired dishes. That means creations like “potato pebbles on coffee soil’ and “herb garden,” or the intriguing looking “gummy gin tonic,” which comes served on real stones. The drinks menu has also embraced this modernist approach with Cava infused cocktails like the sparkling Bellini, Ópera Rossini served in test tubes. Sentidos means senses in Spanish and the décor looks to reflect all five senses with art deco sculptures adorning the entrance, constantly shifting mood lighting and a sound track that mixed Balearic beats with fusion Flamenco. While the name has changed from Sentidos Tapas to just Sentidos they have also looked to retain a link with the previous concept maintaining a fine dining section in its restaurant which is dedicated to classical-style Spanish cuisines and tapas.
