Following up on the ongoing European Union Film Festival, the World Film Festival of Bangkok continues to treat cinemaphiles to a selection of quality flicks from all over the world. Held from Nov 5-14 at Paragon Cineplex and Major Cineplex Sukhumvit, the festival screens a total of 150 movies by some of the world’s celebrated directors like French director Jacques Doillon and Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, and will be featured under nine categories: Asian Contemporary, Cinema Beat, Cine Latino, Doc Feast, Short Wave, Guts Nouveau, Music & Dance A la Carte, New Turkish Cinema and Retrospective. The highlights you shouldn’t miss include up-and-coming indie film maker Thanwarin Sukhaphisit directorial debut Insects in the Backyard, Singapore's Red Dragonflies and Taiwan's Au Revoir Taipei. Tickets are B100 and B50 for students.
