A total of 28 teams--four more than participated in 2009--will be expected to compete at this year's Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) International Rugby 7s.

The event which has since become an annual competition and one of the world's oldest rugby sevens tournaments, will for the first time, be held over three nights at The Padang from Nov 5.

Teams include South Africa's SA Vipers, HSBC Penguins, Fiji's Devatelavu as well as national squads from Japan, USA, Hong Kong, Namibia and Sweden.

Also for the first time, the matches will be broadcast live on television on StarHub's SuperSports Arena (Channel 201).

Rugby fans can also look forward to a SCC 7s 'village' which will feature live music performances, F&B outlets, a pitch-wide Guinness bar as well as a warm-up viewing area where they can get up close to the players.

Three-day tickets for adults are priced at $50 each while three-day under-18 ones go for $25. Tickets are available at SCC Rugby Sevens website.
