These Warhol art classes are the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon
Combine your class with a trip to River City’s Pop Art exhibition.
If you’re planning to visit River City’s Andy Warhol Pop Art exhibition, you can now combine your trip with an on-theme art class. Run by highly regarded travel company, Smiling Albino, the recently launched Create Artist Studio is currently holding Andy Warhol Pop Art classes in the same building as the exhibition.
Hosted in a spacious, light-filled studio, the three-hour classes see experienced art teachers guide you through the motions of creating your very own masterpiece. Join the “Copy Portrait” class to mimic Warhol’s iconic silkscreen painting of Marilyn Monroe, starting with pencil outlines on canvas before gradually building color with vibrant acrylics.
If you want more freedom of expression, opt for a “Creative Portrait” or “Creative Object” class, in which you can either interpret a Warhol artwork of your choice or bring your own image to work from. At the end of the class, you can take your work home with you or, better yet, leave it to dry as you visit the neighboring exhibition.
All classes are priced at B1,200, inclusive of all art supplies, and are limited to four-to-10 participants to ensure personalized instruction and to facilitate social distancing. Vincent van Gogh classes are also available in line with River City’s current Van Gogh Life and Art digital exhibition. For the full schedule and to book, visit the studio’s ZipEvent page or email [email protected]. For more information, check out fb.com/createbangkok.
