Chefs Napol Jantraget and Saki Hoshino have resumed service at their Charoenkrung hotspot
80/20. They are back with a new pre-monsoon tasting menu, too, featuring 100-percent Thai ingredients in thought-provoking dishes like the smoked river fish with banana blossom and local beef with eggplant paired with their rice of the moment. Menu favorite “Chill by the Sea” highlights various local seafood stacked up in a classic pinto.
When it comes to the desserts, Hoshino offers up a playful version of mango sticky rice and flexes her creative muscles with Honey and Lychee, a clever combination using fresh, in-season with homemade yogurt, lychee sorbet, bee pollen and 10-year-aged honey from Hin Lad Noi.
To celebrate their comeback, 80/20 is now open for lunch and offering an exclusive price: five courses for B1,900 and 10 courses for B2,500 for both lunch and dinner. This special price is available until only Jul 31, so act fast.
Following the restaurant’s upscale reinvention, 2019 was a whirlwind for the former hipster hangout. From being listed by Time magazine as one of the “World’s 100 Greatest Places” to earning a Michelin star for its trailblazing seasonal Thai tasting menus, the venue has fast become one to watch.
Open Thu-Sun 11am-12pm (lunch); Wed-Sun 5pm-late (dinner). 099-118-2200,
