This app helps you find Bangkok’s best dining deals for huge parties on a budget
Not just buffet restaurants, but also places like Arno’s, Medinii and Vertigo Too
Planning food for large groups can be a huge stress, especially considering that most of our favorite places aren’t really set up to handle parties or special occasions.
There is now an app for that: Hungry Hub. The brand has partnered with over 230 top restaurants across Bangkok and Chiang Mai (see some examples below) to create all-you-can-eat offerings or buffets with fixed-price promotions that start as low as B99. There are four main package options to choose: All-you-can-eat, which lets you indulge in premium dishes in 2 hours; Party Pack with special deals for groups of 4-6 diners; Buffet Plus, which covers traditional buffet venues but at a special discount; and the Hungry Lunch package for, well, lunch.
Some of the highlights right now include Arno’s Butcher and Eatery, where you can try some of the best items, like cheese baked Canadian lobster, 100-day dry aged ribeye or tenderloin, 100-day dry aged sirloin, duck breasts, and 75-day dry-aged ribs at prices ranging between B1,490-9,999. Sticking with steaks, Babylon Steakhouse lays out a similar range of high-end produce (Angus, tenderloin, Norwegian salmon, and Kurobuta pork) from between B980-B2,500/person.
There is also Junker and Bar with the likes of its signature wagyu beef burger, pizza topped with parma ham and truffle oil, pasta with creamy crab sauce, pasta with spicy black ink sauce, to mocktails at B499/person. Another highlight is Medinii at The Continent Hotel, offering lamb steak, Australian Angus ribeye, mozzarella baked sea bass, lasagna, and soft drinks for between B499-B1,499/person.
Up for some fresh seafood? Choose Red Oven at SO Sofitel where between B850-B4,700 gets you spreads filled with Alaskan king crab, oysters, Hokkaido scallops, and lobster.
Fusion-y menus are available at Audrey Cafe which, at prices between B555-B789, include the likes of crab souffle served with lobster and brandy sauce, fried rice with kua kling (Southern curry) paste and minced pork served with a boiled egg, and baby pizza with a tom yum goong topping.
There are some decent rooftop venues taking part, too. Banyan Tree’s Vertigo Too is offering smoked salmon, baked salmon belly in yuzu sauce, tuna tataki, and mocktails for between B1,375-B2,475/person. Latin rooftop venue Mojjo Lounge & Bar has a similar deal, with alcohol options and a bunch of hearty barbecue dishes from B1,290-B1,890/person.
The deals scale to an insane degree, too. The folks at Hungry Hub say they can accommodate groups of up to 350 people (yes, that’s right) if you contact the team in advance to coordinate. That’s a lot of Arno’s burgers.
