Emotive British rock band Snow Patrol will treat Bangkok fans to an acoustic set this August. 

The band, whose huge international hits include rom-com soundtrack stapes like “Chasing Cars,” “Run” and "You’re All I Have,” will hit the stage at Moonstar Studio 8 on Aug 27.

Tickets go on sale from May 15 at B2,400 from Ticketmelon.com. The tour will also stop by Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.

Formed in Dundee, Scotland, in 1994, Snow Patrol is led by vocalist/guitarist Gary Lightbody. After nearly a decade on the British indie circuit, the band hit the mainstream with their 2003 major-label debut, Final Straw, a collection of earnest tunes including the singles "Run" and "Spitting Games." The band have since enjoyed five consecutives top three albums on the UK chart.

The band visited Thailand back in 2006 for the Bangkok 100 Rock Festival.
