UK female-fronted alternative rock band Wolf Alice is heading to Bangkok, according to a viral Facebook post. 

 

While there's been no official confirmation as yet, the Dad Mom and Rock N Roll Kids Facebook fanpage claims the concert is "100% confirmed."

 

 

The post claims the concert will take place in September and that an official announcement will soon be made by Mangosteen Music Festival, the same organizer presenting next week's two sold-out shows by Honne. 

 

With over 50,000 followers, Dad Mom and Rock N Roll Kids is a fanpage dedicated to news about upcoming rock concerts in Bangkok. The news has sent ripples through the local rock community, accruing over 400 shares in less than 24 hours. 

 

Four-piece alternative rock band Wolf Alice formed in London in 2010 and launched their debut album Blush in 2013 followed by the EP Creature Songs in 2014. The band quickly forged a following for their loud-quiet grunge sound and captivating live sets headed by charismatic frontwoman Ellie Rowsell. 

 

In 2015, their single "Moaning Lisa Smile" hit no.9 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart, and the band was later nominated for Best Rock Performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
