Upstairs at Mikkeller's fresh new menu is one of Bangkok's most exciting
Full of complex yet perfectly matched flavors.
After being propelled to one-Michelin-star status in 2017, Ekkamai’s Upstairs at Mikkeller is now bringing some exciting new dishes to the table.
Developed to complement a selection of craft beer, cider and mead, Dan Bark’s “progressive American” 10-course tasting menu (B3,300) switches things up around three times per year.
In the latest incarnation, a new carrot dish celebrates this humble root vegetable, creatively serving it five-ways with goats milk, fennel marmalade, puffed rice berry and pomelo—who knew carrots could be so exciting?
The Hokkaido scallop dish provides a little smoky surprise for the senses, served with finger lime, dashi, and cinnamon.
Thankfully, our long-reigning favorite remains: the cauliflower with curry, grapes, hoja santa, raisin puree and bread rocks—a dish that is not only beautiful to look at but full of complex yet perfectly matched flavors.
To whet the palate, the craft beer pairing (six beers for B1,300) offers matches made in heaven.
