This exhibition offers a truly singular perspective on the city.

Opening Sep 2 at Jam, Hope Land is the latest exhibition by American photographer Adam Birkan (see some of his previous works here) and it has the distinction of being shot entirely from his apartment window in upper Sukhumvit.

Captured over the past year and a half while Birkan was "often in his underwear," the photos speak of the diversity of Bangkok through the photographer's trademark subtle, minimalist style.

"I am too high to see sorrow and despair, and too low to see happiness. But I am just the right height to see their hopes and dreams," Birkan says of his 34th-floor vantage point.

A limited-run Hope Land zine will be up sale on the opening night only. The exhibition, Birkan's third in Bangkok, runs until Sep 24—check out some of the photos below.
