Zeta

The all-day buffet at Zeta Cafe offers a tantalizing parade of seafood on ice. The slate includes a feast of fresh oysters, Alaskan crab legs, New Zealand mussels and mantis shrimp in addition to buffet staples like pad Thai, sushi, pasta and a generous dessert bar packed with frosted cakes and donuts. Once the effects of a food coma start to take over, stumble down to the nearby swimming pool to kick your feet up and doze off.

Maya

Maya is perhaps Bangkok’s most elevated Indian restaurant, sitting in a striking cantilevered structure on the 29th floor of the Holiday Inn. As you walk in, you’re greeted by three large charcoal tandoors, so you’re well advised to order a round of the irresistible papadum or aromatic naan (B80). Other hearty options include the jhinga khada masala (king prawns with shallots, tomatoes, spring onion and spices, B800) and dal maya (black lentils with tomatoes, garlic and churned butter, B250). Afterwards, move to the outdoor lounge for some fine cigars, premium single-malts or creative cocktails while soaking up the view and tunes at the DJ bar.

The Brasserie

Its casual atmosphere here makes it a good choice for family dinners on the weekends or special celebrations with friends and colleagues. The Brasserie is decked out in neat and clean furnishings; and generous space between tables gives it a wide feel. The kitchen here serves an array of regional dishes (Thai, Italian, Indian and Japanese). The authentic Indian Tandoori cuisine is a definite must-try, while the international food is fairly good as well. Besides savories, The Brasserie offers both Asian and western desserts. Freshly made on order, the creamy crepe (served only for dinner) comes highly recommended. Traditional Thai desserts include small cakes and cute little jelly flowers with fruit salad. There are buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Atelier

With its mid-level pricing, Atelier at Pullman Grande still manages to pull out all the stops at its all-you-can-eat buffet. Gorge on seafood, roasted meats, sushi, foie gras, lamb chops, Beijing roast duck and suckling pig until you fall over. The booze package doesn’t sting too much, either. We recommend scooping up some flavorful dal tadka (lentil soup) and hot gobhi masala (cauliflower curry), or some cheese and cold cuts.
