Ultra Singapore 2017 unveils their second wave of artists
Local darlings Jasmine Sokko and Sam Rui are in the mix
We’re just three weeks away from the Singapore’s edition of big-time two-day electro music festival Ultra. Happening on Jun 10-11 at the open field beside Marina Bay Sands, the festival's Phase 1 line-up saw a dizzyling list of 15 huge international headlining acts, with names like KSHMR, Pendulum, Steve Angello and Hardwell making the bill. While the EDM-centric line-up was received with much fanfare, the second phase continues to create even more hype with a couple more names from the EDM scene and a few others from different genres.
Most prominently, 17-year-old Indonesian rapper Rich Chigga will be making his debut at Ultra's Live Stage. Miami-born electronic duo GTA will be taking Main Stage while techno DJs Anna, Carlo Lio and Henry Saiz will join the likes of Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli and Sasha & John Digweed at the Resistance stage. There’s also a whole host of artists from around the region like Australian bounce-maker Will Sparks, but making up the Singapore contingent this year are singer-songwriters Jasmine Sokko and Sam Rui, DJ collective Rave Republic, dance music producer Myrne, and Oliver Osborne.
