If you’re the sort to only shop once a year, this is the place to do it

Running concurrently with Singapore Design Week, the always-anticipated Boutiques is back, with a big Spring/Summer throwdown. There will be over 150 labels, covering womenswear, menswear, homeware and furniture. And we are told that an impressive 80 percent of them have socially responsible production practices.

In conjunction with Textile and Fashion Federation (TAFF), the third floor will be devoted to Singaporean and ASEAN-region brands. Highlights include the gorgeous prints and funky pants of Matter, the ethereally futuristic clutches of Bali’s MNO.logie and jewelry by the likes of Carrie K. and Liz B.

Matter

On the homeware front, we’re particularly excited design studio about Eck & Art, whose Singapore fine art prints we’ve loved since we first learned of them. On the fancier front, Scandinavian-style furniture boutique Stylodeco will also be exhibiting. And if you’re more an athleisure kinda person, activewear label InZone5 and multi-label stylish sportswear boutique Base Athletica will also be around.

The refreshment options are pretty exciting too, with Violet Oon doing an in-house cafe, and relief for coffee snobs provided by Liberty, Riau and Tripod. EC Proof will be taking care of booze, Red Baron the craft beers and Pop Up Wines the vino. So even if you’re not that into shopping, you can escort someone who is.

Boutiques Spring 2017 is taking place at the F1 Pit Building again, on Mar 10 (9am-8pm) and Mar 11 (10am-8pm). More info here.
