The Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand hosts a sneak preview of the compelling documentary that offers a first-hand look at the ways that modern Cambodia has rebuilt itself from the murderous Khmer Rouge times. The director, Robert H. Liberman, is a child of the Holocaust and uses his own personal journey to draw on powerful parallels between these two horrific genocides.

The launch of a new social discussion group that aims to consider the qualities of self-identity and what it means to be “queer” through open platform discussions with readings, screenings and other activities. For the first installment of their monthly meetups, the group will be discussing Peter A Jackson’s 2009 essay titled “Global Queering and Global Queer Theory: Thai Transgenders and Homosexualities in World History”. In an effort to support local musicians, this music festival invites artists to perform whatever they please while the audience is encouraged to pay whatever they please. Buckets will be placed throughout the event, each one dedicated to a performing band that will then receive all the money collected. The lineup so far includes De Flamingo, The Lowdowns, King Kong & The Chum, Ten to Twelve and more.

Frequent visitors to our shores, the Japanese post-rock band have confirmed Bangkok as a destination in their world tour promoting their ninth studio album, Requiem for Hell, which has reintroduced string instruments into their sound. The four-piece instrumental band are best known for singles including "Where We Begin," "Requiem for Hell" and "Follow the Map".
