Take a look at some winning photographic pieces by Singapore's young talents
Pictures that speak (more than) a thousand words.
The sixth Singapore Youth Photographer Award (SYPA), a national photography competition by City Developments Limited (CDL) that aims to support young, budding photographers, has announced their winners. Participants were required to take photos that express certain themes and categories set out by CDL earlier this year. Taking place only once every two years, this competition has reached out to youths from all walks of life, such as engineers, national servicemen, designers and more.
With an overwhelming response of 1600 submissions, the judging panel looked through almost 10,000 images before finally deciding on the winners. Kudos to these amazing young talents who walked away with cash and photography classes. The winning pieces will be exhibited at the National Museum of Singapore from Sep 7-30, accompanied with works by the SYPA judges as well.
