There's a Belgian National Day party happening at The Great Escape on Jul 21, and it promises a night of affordable Belgian beers, double cooked fries and exciting acts behind the deck to keep the music thumping all night. 7-11.30pm.
Groove to DJ Bobby Luo's cutting edge set at Gallery & Co.'s block party on Jul 22. The store will also be offering a 15 percent discount for all purchases between 10pm-12am. 9pm-1am.
MEATLiquor SIN brings you a night of burgers, bar grub, ice-cold beer and old-school jams at the SoulSin on Jul 22, featuring Work Play Connect's resident DJ The Professor who will be playing his spread of funk, reggae and hip hop. Cover charge of $20 (men) and $10 (women) from 11pm onwards applies. 10pm-3am.
Don't miss Open Stoves, a special gastronomical weekend from Jul 23-24, that will hook you up with some hearty grub in five off-the-menu collaborations between stalls at Timbre + and guest chefs, such as Bjorn Shen's Bird Bird and Filipino eatery Iskina Cebu. There will also be upsized Jenga, beer races and even a BBQ blowout in their outdoor courtyard. 12 pm onwards.
DJ/event collective Attagirl, which supports local females in music and arts, is throwing a 3rd anniversary party across two floors at Blu Jaz Cafe on Jul 30. Expect performances by 20 local and regional female DJs and artistes across genres of music from house and indie to hip hop with the likes of homegirl Jaydah, Kuala Lumpur's DJ duo +2dB, and Japan’s Shioriybradshaw. $20 (with a free drink). 6pm-3am.
Fancy Thai restaurant Long Chim is teaming up with French liquor distribution company Pernod Ricard for Sunday Shenanigans on Jul 31. You'll be treated to a selection of 9 bespoke cocktails ($12 each) crafted with Aberlour Whisky, Jameson Whisky, and Monkey 47 Gin, alongside free handmade Aberlour chocolates, traditional Thai ice cream, and other bar snacks ($5). 9pm-1am.
