But you can still participate in wholesome daytime drinking, food and music at the new Kult Kafe

If you missed 2015's last Sunday at the Training Shed late in November, well, hate to break it to you, but that was the last one ever. Organizers Sideshow had planned to return for another year of programming in January when they were informed that the Labrador Park compound that hosts the parties will undergo a six-month renovation. Tragic!

But not to worry.Tom Shellsuit from Sideshow said, "By a twist of fate, Kult Kafe was becoming operational around the same time, and now we have a new HQ!"

Yes, this is the same Kult Kafe, the Kult Gallery extension up on Emily Hill that had a two-day opening party last weekend, the one that will be home to a slightly cozier version of this wholesome, arty, BBQ-y, daytime drinking party next year. Tom, who is one of the partners, says, "It's home to all kinds of weird and wonderful art, music and performances. There are good drinks at reasonable prices and food is on the way early next year, but for now there are a variety of food vendors at events."

And speaking of events, there are new two parties are Beer is Food (Dec 27), with 10 craft beers on tap,a bottled beer garage sale, and DJs from Sideshow and Pushin'On spinning, and the NYE Lock-In (Dec 31), with DJ Shellsuit and the Bamrah Brothers spinning.
