There's a new American craft beer in town. And a whole bunch of parties to celebrate.
Beervana celebrates its birthday by bringing Stone beers to Bangkok.
Turning three this October, craft beer importer Beervana is celebrating by bringing in new bottles from the States. Based in San Diego, California, Stone Brewery is one of America's top ten largest craft beer brewers that focuses on IPAs.
For now, the six core beers available in Thailand are the classic Stone IPA, Go To IPA, Cali-Belgique IPA, Delicious IPA, Bourbon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastard Ale and Ruination Double IPA, 2.0. Bangkokians can get a taste at the usual suspects like Hair of the Dog, the two Crafts, Roadhouse Barbecue, White Beer’d and Mikkeller. (See our roundup of the city's best beer bars.)
A series of events will be hosted to support the beer launch on the Oct 2-4 weekend. Starting off with a six-course beer-pairing dinner (B3,400) at Bo.lan (24 Sukhumvit Soi 53, 02-260-2961-2) on Friday, the events will carry on to the Go To Stone release party at Craft (16 Sukhumvit Soi 23, 02-661-3220) with free entry, free beer flights for first 333 heads, seven taps and rare bottles on Saturday from 5pm. Lad Prao’s White Beer’d (Crystal Design Center, Praditmanutham) will host Stone for Thai People on Sunday from 3pm, with four taps, rare bottles and free beer flights for first 60 fans.
