Central Group Mini Marathon 2015
What: For the ninth year running, this is the annual charity event organized by the Central Group to support those affected by the ongoing conflicts in the three Southern provinces of Thailand.

Distances: 10km, 5km and 3km

OCTOBER
Empire Tower We Run 2015
What: Claiming to be the first ever 100-percent Green Marathon in Thailand, this annual charity run raises money to buy sport kits for children in need.
When: Oct 11, 5-9am
Where: Em Space, Empire Tower, Sathorn Rd. BTS Chong Nonsi
Distances: 21km, 10.5km and 4.1km.

What: For those that don’t want to fight the heat of the day, here’s the run for you. The 18th edition of the run raises money for the following charities: the Chalerm Prakiat HRH Princess Sirindhorn School and Baan Gerda.
When: Oct 17, midnight
Where: Amari Watergate Bangkok, 847 Petchaburi Rd.
Distances: 6km and 12km
Registration: B1,000 for charity entry, B500 regular entry, available at bit.ly/1Ex5pRa through Sep 30.

What: The annual run passess Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue, the Marble Temple, Chitralada Palace, Khao Din zoo, The National Library and parts of the Old Town. There’s also a special, free 1km “Stars of Tomorrow” for parents to take part with their children (must be under 12).

What: Everyone’s a winner in this race. This is the debut of the colorful, untimed fun run in Thailand, with clouds of different powdered colors being splashed at you at every kilometer you cover. There’s also a color festival at the end of the race.

NOVEMBER
What: Another untimed, non-competitive fun run, divided into five zones of five genres of music from rock, pop, old school, to hip-hop and dance, blasting through the speakers, selected by the runners prior to the run. A music festival awaits at the end of the course.

Where: Suan Luang Rama IX Public Park, Rama 9 Rd.
Distances: 5km
What: The undisputed biggest marathon of the year, with distances for beginners to professional runners. Expect around 30,000 runners.
When: Nov 15, 2am
Where: The Grand Palace, Na Phra Lan Rd.
Distances: 42.195km, 21.1km, 10km and 1.5-4.5km
What: This is a completely car-free road race, taking place on the elevated Bommratchonni Road. organized by Thammasat Association. There will also be a photo certificate for 21.1km runners.
