A traditional kabuki performance that fuses Japanese dance and drama, Takizawa Kabuki will be showcased outside Japan for the first time.

Peter Arnoud Benson's inaugural exhibition Illusion revolves around sculptures inspired by perspective and illusion. Expect shapes like cubes and pyramids to play tricks on your eyes.

NOX - Dine in the Dark celebrates its second anniversary with local guest bartender shifts all night. The drinks will be paired with special bar bites, too. 

MUSIC
Local classical quartet T'ang Quartet teams up with pianist Melvyn Tan for Guts & Steel, a contemporary rendition of classical works. 

LITERARY
Telling Stories Live is back at The Fabulous Baker Boy, with autobiographical storytelling by four amateurs. Free entrance!

EAT
The pop-up theatrical dining experience Andsoforth presents The Karl Experience is back with another immersive dinner. This time, the four-course dinner revolves around a story that is set in a dystopian future. Or head to Portuguese restaurant BOCA for a night of fabo, a genre of traditional Portuguese music.

It's a month of film festivals. Spotlight on Singapore Cinema shows local films from the '50s to '70s like Hokkien opera Taming of the Princess and Malay rom-com Patah Hati. ART
Musician, poet and founder of subjam label Yan Jun invites anyone interested in how sound works for a living room tour of music at Residencies Studios Sessions.

MUSIC
A showcase of contemporary Australian aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music, dirtsong is performed by 11 different aboriginal languages by the Black Arm Band.

THEATER
A collection of three one-act plays telling different stories is on show at bash: latterday plays. There are accounts of a woman and her tragic relationship with her teacher, a businessman confiding in a stranger and a young couple on their anniversary weekend.

The Singapore Night Festival starts today with maker's markets, light shows, stand-up sets and live performances.

DANCE
A contemporary Japanese dance performance, Meeting-Melting fuses energetic dance moves with a hip soundtrack. Or head to a classical Indian dance showcase at Samarpana.

PARTY
Singapore Island Culture Club is back for another edition at Kyo. DJ Aldrin takes the decks and drops remixed beats by the likes of Aeroplane, Gigamesh and Disclosure.

MUSIC
Four local bands, including AlphaBeatSG, Paraphrase and Sunday Morning, play at small music festival Shuffle Music Festival in Clarke Quay.
