First Butter Factory, and now this.

We're a little shocked to learn that IndoChine's The Forbidden City is closing at the end of this month. After what seems like eons in the ever-changing face of the Clarke Quay clubbing scene, the dynastic Chinese-themed club and alfresco bar isn't immune after all. Sure, the multi-concept restaurant-bar-cigar lounge-club venue is a little bizarre, but don't miss the farewell party happening this weekend as the four conjoined spaces (The Forbidden City, Anastasia, Bianca and The Oscar) shutter. They do say that they'll be relocating to a new venue, though. Here's hoping.

These guys aren't relocating, though: Dempsey's Chameleon Club also marks its last weekend with a blowout three DJ party. Perhaps it's the slightly off-kilter location in restaurant-heavy Dempsey, but the cavernous club has known some good times (hello, trashy-fun foam parties and drag weekends). The two-story building has yet to see a long-running tenant as there have been a wide rotation of concepts to open up and shutter. In the meantime, we can only imagine what's next to occupy 22 Dempsey.

If you're feeling all heartbroken, take some consolation in our recent chat with nightlife gurus about what to expect in the clubbing world this year.
