Noise House, a single-room live music venue in Lad Phrao, opened its doors at the end of August and has already built a cult-like following. By day, it serves as a shop and workshop for electronic instrument lovers, offering repairs on electronic music gear and a range of electronic instruments for sale. By night, the space transforms into a live music venue featuring diverse genres of electronic music and underground tunes. You won’t find any pop music here.

When the venue isn’t hosting music acts from across the world—many of whom are gear nerds that lean heavily into the technical side of music making—you’ll find artists from across town taking part in open jam sessions, sharing technical know-how, and geeking out over music gear. According to the venue’s Instagram account, the goal is to build an inspiring music community that is inclusive of all music genres, with no boundaries.

The slender venue is one room divided into two sections: a chill seating area with vintage stools and sofas (this serves as the electronic instrument shop during the day) and a cozy live music area where artists can rehearse or play gigs in the evening. The music area's deep purple lighting and different seating arrangements (which change based on the music played each night) set an atmosphere ripe for sharing various musical experiences.

You will find pretty much every kind of music here: experimental soul, rock 'n' roll, indie, and even trip-hop and garage punk. The venue also acts as a playground of sorts for guest artists who are music technologists, sound artists, and mixing engineers that want to create an immersive environment while experimenting with classic instruments and modern cutting-edge equipment.
