While Alliance Francaise kicks off its annual French music and art festival La Fete with their Fete de la Musique event tomorrow (Jun 18, 2pm onwards) with concerts from our beloved local acts like DCNXTR and Jelly Rocket (Click here for lineup), that's not all that's going down.

Just down the road, three French bars on Sathorn Soi 10-12 are also celebrating World Music Day with DJs and drink deals.

Marcel gathers a bunch of Bangkok's leading DJs from day-to-night. The lineup includes DJ Moola (2pm), Jaydubb from DiscoRobott crew (3:30pm), Moog Ly from France (5pm), Nanziee from Vinyl Feeling (8pm), Gramaphonechildren (9:30pm), Glow resident Junesis (11pm) and Ellie Ellahey together with Dott from Nosleep crew (midnight). 

Meanwhile, healthy bistro Kumi is joining in the fun with special prices on dishes and drinks include paella (B250), cold cuts (B440), garlic shrimps (B220), green tacos with chicken (B210), calamari tapas (B240), sangria (B140/glass or B280/pitcher) and house wine (B140 by the glass). 11am-late.  

Finally, the always-bustling Le Cafe Des Staigiaires is bringing in three DJs from France and Belgium to spin tunes from 4pm-2am, along with special deals on Ricard (B100), Negroni (B400) and sangria (B250).  

Fete de la Musique, or World Music Day, was launched in 1981 by the French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang, and has since spread to over 120 countries around the world.
