Tired of walking 500 meters from the BTS for your pool and pints? Last week the Old English Pub moved from its digs next by Thonglor 5 to a spot right on Sukhumvit next to the BTS station (Exit 3), launching with a two-day grand re-opening Oct 6 and 7. 

Known for their Western food, sports, and “adult” milkshakes (B290), the Old English Pub has been a staple sports bar in Thonglor since opening in 2018 and will now simply be referred to as The Old English. It managed the difficult feat of being a Bangkok sports bar that can also be somewhat trendy. 

The Old English closed at its previous location along with the Coffee Club and supermarket at The Maze, and the site will be making way for a Starbucks, according to a post from The Old English. 

The outdoor space is much reduced from the old location, but the bar is still serving up good fare and cheap beer—a pint (of Leo) for a pound (B45) weekdays between 2-5pm.
