Thonglor is now home to a new fetish and fantasy club and bar, Castle Special Lounge Bar. Whether you’re into fetish nights, kink, BDSM, or anything in between, Castle is hoping to become a sex-positive playground and they’re having their grand opening tonight. 

 

You might have noticed the strange church-style building on Thonglor Soi 5, with its stained glass windows and sandstone-like walls. This new spot has added velvet seats, grand thrones, black iron fixtures, and red neon spotlights. With its dungeon gear, the space gives off Berlin fetish club vibes, so wear your latex, leather, metal, nylon, rubber, or lace—whatever tickles your fancy. 

 

The Castle has held a number of previous parties, but their grand opening is this Friday Oct 27, with a “Spirit of Siam Halloween” theme. Look for a sexy-spooky wonderland of Thai ornaments, foliage, and lighting, and a sensuous tribute to Thai spirits and folklore, like Mae Nak and Nang Tani.  For their big event, they’ll be putting on interactive exhibits to tell the tales of legendary Thai rulers, mythical creatures, and epic events in Thai history alongside some sexy dance acts and shadow plays.

 

Expect beats from top DJs playing techno underground music along with a list of drinks and bar bites. For drinks, try the  Marry of Cross (B380) with vodka-infused rosemary, lemon, triple sec, honey, and lime for a sweet and slightly sagelike blend. Or, for a spicy and tangy cocktail, try the Tom Yummy (B380), with gin-infused tom yum herb, amaretto, coconut milk, pineapple, and lime. 

 

This spot also makes some kinky waffles from Kiki. If you’ve been walking down Thonglor 5 lately, you might have seen a pink sign with icing spurting from phallus waffles or labias with gold leaf.
