2013 looks like it’s going to be the year of beer, with more good news for ale lovers. Hot on the heels of pioneers Beervana launching the first draft craft beers in Thailand—a very enjoyable selection of ales, India Pale Ales and stouts from Singapore microbrewery Brewerkz (now available at Smith and Roadhouse)—comes news of more yeasty foreign imports. This time they arrive from the lands of snow and ice, more specifically Denmark. New importer Hopsession will be bringing in three intriguing sounding brews. These are Mikkeler, a gourmet craft beer from Copenhagen, the luxury handcrafted Bøgedal beer and the drink of choice for Viking-types, Mead, a first for Southeast Asia. All three will be launched at a special event on Mar 3 at Beer, Brews and Ciders at Seenspace in Thonglor Soi 13.
