The 1-Altitude people just launched a super glam restaurant at Fullerton Pavilion
And the interiors are OTT.
Party-goers will be pleased to know that the iconic dome along the waters of Marina Bay has come to life with a new establishment, Monti, which now occupies the space that once housed the Spanish restaurant, Catalunya. Once you step into the glass dome, be swept away by their sleek interiors, decked out in bronze and copper hues, fresh flowers as table pieces, low-hanging lights and their marble bartop which rounds up the elegant atmosphere.
The menu is created by chef Luigi Calcagno, owner-chef of the Italian restaurant, Zibiru, in Seminyak, Bali, so you can expect a slew of Italian-influenced dishes like the baked turbot with crispy potato discs, monkfish enveloped with pancetta and ravioli stuffed with braised veal with a bone marrow cream base. While they dish out hearty fare, their tipples don't disappoint either. Their signature drink, Mr. Monti, a rum-based tonic highball with grapefruit essence will ease you into the night or if you’re ready to dive in, try their Monti-Rita, is a modern Italian take on the classic margarita, with a smidgen of amaretto, the limey drink has a hint of sweetness.
With resident DJs like Adam Sky (who has gotten support from David Guetta and Afrojack) and Stephen Day (who has played at CE LA VI), this establishment isn’t just for food and drinks, it is a party destination as well. This party dome might just continue the now-defunct Catalunya’s legacy.
Here's a glimpse of how the place looks like:
An elegant affair awaits
An exquisite marble bartop
Lunch with a view
A fine collection of spirits
Perhaps, a candlelit dinner
