Following an opening party last Sunday (Dec 2), Cheap Charlie's has finally, officially, reopened on Sukhumvit Soi 50.

The original bar on Sukhumvit Soi 11 closed earlier in the year after 35 years of service. Loved by locals and tourists alike, Cheap Charlie's was singlehandedly responsible for much of Soi 11’s popularity, turning the area into the de facto after-work drinking hangout.

The Sukhumvit Soi 50 bar is, of course, outdoors, and continues with the tradition of super-cheap drinks and a décor of well-worn bric-a-brac: half junkyard, half antique store kitsch and completely charming. The owner Satit Budkajang was deliberate about redecorating the new space to look like the old.

Located opposite the parking lot of Tesco Lotus On Nut, the new Cheap Charlie's is just two shophouses away from On Nut's only craft beer bar, Dog Step.
