So last week saw confirmation that one of Bangkok’s most iconic British-style pubs is closing its doors this week.

The subterranean The Londoner, complete with its own brewery, tucked under the UBC II Building on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 33, is the latest venue to be priced out of the area.

They’ll be moving to a new home on Pattanakarn Main road in between Soi 32 and 30, though no opening date has been set just yet.

To celebrate, or commiserate, the end of an era, they will be running a special drinks promotions until last order is called on Wednesday June 18.

These include B100 beers all day until 7pm daily and, the real highlight, the extension of the infamous Wednesday night buy-one-get-one-free deal to every night until they close.
