Just as Iron Balls Parlor celebrates its anniversary next week, the music and mixology of Iron Fairies is set to return to Sukhumvit Soi 39 this March.

Little is known about the reopening thus far, but Iron Fairies has confirmed they will reopen in late March, with a tentative soft opening on the 20th, though that hasn't been confirmed. The venue used to be known as much for its design as its drinks and originally came from nightlife mogul Ashley Sutton, the mind behind Iron Balls Parlor, Iron Balls Distillery, and other perennial favorites on the Bangkok nightlife scene.

Lost to us due to Covid, this OG Bangkok bar was known for its strong cocktails and smooth music for more than a decade ago. The bar’s previous iteration in Thonglor was Dickensian in style, and there was a touch of dark, moody Victoriana in every corner. Photos on the bar's social media of gargoyles and bottles hanging from the ceiling suggest more of this wild style is in store.

Update: A representative from Iron Fairies tells BK Magazine that the opening of Iron Fairies has been postponed.
