How to spend St. Patrick's Day 2015 in Singapore
From oyster shucking to deals on beer to pub crawls, here's the complete lowdown on your party options.
Get some Irish luck with all these shamrock and green-themed parties and deals.
Once again, Circular Road is home to the three-day festival and parade. This year, there are two stages with live performances by Irish and local bands like The Craic Horse and The Cans, as well as a parade happening on Sunday. There are also tons of booths with free candy floss and face painting services, as well as pubs and restaurants whipping up dishes of Irish food. And, of course, there's lots of Guinness.
The famed Boat Quay pub crawl is back for a shamrock-themed affair. There will be an open top party bus that will chauffeur you to three Irish pubs and one club, with free entry, along the river. Enjoy special drink deals and freebies while you're at it.
The beer company extends St. Patrick's Day for a week-long affair with tons of events. Aside from the Circular Road festival, they've lined up live music performances by Jack & Rai at The Substation, Guinness-infused tapas at Fabrika and an oyster shucking competition, too.
The Quay will no doubt be packed with revelers but stop by this microbrewery to get the signature Monster Green Lager infused with green spirulina. They're also doing a special Irish lamb stew with leeks and potatoes.
If you're peckish and fancy something sweet, the French creperie is serving a special shamrock-crusted thin crepe for the weekend for $6.
If you're planning on staying away from the riverside location, this pub is joining in the festivities, too. There's Magners original and pear for $7.50, a St. Patrick's Edition barbecue (Sun, Mar 15) and live music by The O'Deary's (Mar 17).
