Hemingway's, the Asoke bar and restaurant set in a beatiful teak house, will close its doors at the end of October.

A post on the venue's Facebook page from GM Damian Mackay pins the closure on "reaching the end of our lease term with the new property owners."

Though we weren't always the biggest fans of the food (see our review), the charming setting—primely located near BTS Asoke—made it easy to see why so many people went in for this slice of Key West transplanted to Asoke junction.

Open since early 2013, Hemingway's proved a hit especially with expats for its Western comfort food, outdoor seating and seemingly countless happy-hour promotions.

While Hemingway's owners contemplate opening in a new venue, we're left wondering what will become of the stately house, which is said to have been built back in the 1920s and previously housed Mexican restaurant Los Cabos.

Hemingway's departure follows that of several other high-profile nightlife closures, including Sukhumvit Soi 22's Overground and Ekkamai's Moose

Hemingway's will close its doors for the last time on Oct 30
