A gin festival is coming to Chinatown's Soi Nana this month
Let the fun beGIN!
Gin may have been on the rise in Bangkok for a few years now, but the time has finally come to celebrate it properly. Between Oct 20-21, Bangkok Gin Festival will take over four bars on Chinatown’s buzzing Soi Nana, serving nothing but the botanical spirit.
Kicking off at 8pm on Oct 20, four leading gin brands will be represented by four up-and-coming female bartenders from across Asia: Hendrick’s regional brand ambassador Charmaine Ann Thio will take over Teens of Thailand with Hendrick’s gin; Nikki Vera from The Pontiac, Hong Kong, will take over Ba Hao with Star of Bombay gin; Jay Hutch from Proof Flat, Singapore, will take over Tep Bar with Caorunn gin; and Shelley Tai from Quinary, Hong Kong, will take over Asia Today with The Botanist gin.
Drinks will range from B360-400, with 10 percent of profits going to charity through Socialgiver. If you collect 16 gin cocktail stickers on the first night, you can redeem special Gin Fest souvenirs on Oct 21—we're not sure whether one gin equals one sticker, but remember to drink responsibly, kids!
On Oct 21, from 2pm onwards, you can discover over 30 brands of gin at Ba:Nana:Press gallery (38-42 Soi Nana), with prices ranging from B200-300. In an effort to reduce trash, attendees are being asked to bring their own glassware.
