Canadian art-rock band Braids bound for Bangkok
The experimental three-piece will be joined by local rockers Monomania at Moose on July 7.
The list of great indie gigs coming up this year keeps growing. Party organizer Mind The Gap Thailand just announced its next show on July 17 at Moose Ekkamai featuring Canadian experimental dream-pop band Braids supported by Panda Records’ synth-oriented rockers Monomania.
The two bands share a penchant for doing the unexpected. Braids’ latest album Deep in the Iris takes the bands dreamy pop sound and adds some intriguing experimental touches, as well some heavy subject matter, while the darker Monomania intergrates a lot post-rock flourishes too.
July 17, 8pm onwards at Moose Ekkamai. Tickets are B500 with one free drink from Sanport craft beer. For advance tickets, contact www.fb.com/mindthegapthailand
