A place for beer lovers (and democracy supporters).
A brewing crusader who entered politics to decriminalize homebrewing will reopen his Bangkok craft beer bar—this time on the west side of town.

Opposition lawmaker Taopiphop Limkittrakorn announced he will reopen his Taopiphop Bar Project this Friday (Dec 16) on the Thonburi side of the river in the Khlong San area, near the King Taksin Monument on Charoen Rat Road.

Expect laid-back vibes and plenty of quality craft beers—and possibly some encounters with the Move Forward Party lawmaker himself.

Before he became a progressive-minded MP advocating for pro-brewer reforms, Taopiphop was a brewer who made headlines when he was arrested for making and selling beer at home. His previous two bars—Taopiphop Bar Project in Nonthaburi and Bad Taste Cafe in the Lat Phrao area—both closed.

139 Charoen Rat Rd., 089 155 0702. Open Fri-Sat 5pm-midnight
